So, I don't want to study now.
I just want to go to sleep and pretend that never happened.
So, I was spoiled for this episode, in that I knew one of the boys would die in it. I knew it had to be Dean; Sam has never had to deal with his brother's death before, and I thought it'd be awesome. I had this whole thing envisioned where Sam woke up the next morning and tried to shoot Dean with rock salt. But enough about my wonderful envisionments.
I think that's why I'm majorly pissed: the Trickster has no sense of pacing. Honestly. Dean's dead and SNAP back to Tuesday morning. Every. Five. Damn. Seconds. If I have to watch Sam sit up in bed ever again I'll kick someone. Probably a little doghee like the one that mauled Dean <3. I found myself sitting there every five minutes or so going "Is this over yet?" whereas last week I was clawing at the TV screen because it was over and I didn't want it to go. Argh. I hate it when the show makes me feel like this. It was just... jumpy, in the worst possible way.
As soon as the deaths started being more comical, I started vaguely thinking Trickster. I did like the subtle way he was included in the recap. Usually Show would've shown him coming back and not being dead, but hey! They rock for once at not giving things away! :D
I don't like the fact that Sam has now lived what is basically the equivalent of at least 6-7 months either on Tuesday, or the months following Dean's death. I mean, that drives a person crazy, and not the good kind. And I was eyerolling so hard during the Trickster's monologue at the end so I might've missed this but WHY DOES HE CARE?!?! Why does he care so much that Sam's a crazy psycho without Dean? Who is he and what does he want? WE GET NO ANSWERS.
But anyways, where I was going with that paragraph before it devolved into a bigger rant, is that they'll probably just gloss over this in the next episode. Sam won't have deep-seeded issues resulting from the fact that he lived in this cycle for so long; I don't like it. It doesn't work for me.
We get no answers for the whole episode, though. Sure, we get a good look at Sam's mind, but everyone around him is stupid; he has to fill Dean in every time. It's monotonous. It's boring. And I'm sick of watching the same 15 minutes over and over again. It felt like the episode equivalent of running in circles for about an hour, and ending up the same place we'd been before. Last week was kind of like that, but it was done more artfully. This episode was funny the angsty then happy and and OMG LOOK A FALLING PIANO and then hey, look! Sam's crazy, CRAAAZY! Just.... argh.
I mean, sure there were some funny bits, but the mind numbing repetition killed me. If you're going to do this episode, do it in a way that's entertaining. Please.
And I have to watch it again for Megan.
My roommate and me have reached our verdict though: Ew. No, thank you.
Call me next week when I'm in FREAKING HEAVEN WITH JUS IN BELLO. <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3 *cannot make enough hearts because I'll bet you there's UNICORNS*
