Art halps, plz?

I need your thoughts on why this doesn't look like Jared Padalecki, but instead a mutant-zombie creature with squinty eyes.

Should I scrap it, or can it be saved? I've been staring at it for about a half hour now tweaking the eyes and they're just... so wonky. Plus the jaw needs serious work. Argh.

All thoughts are muchly appreciated!

I think it's the nostrils. They are at a different angle than the rest of his face. Or make them a wee smaller?
