I LOVE GETTING UP SUPER EARLY AND STUDYING. I've tried so hard and so many times to break myself of this habit because I know cramming is supposed to be bad for you and stuff, but.... Wow. I'm always super focused and able to get work that would normally take me two hours to do done in one. Plus there's no one online to distract me.

Except for the girls over at [livejournal.com profile] mishaland, but that's another story for another day. Y'ALL ARE GONNA BE MY DOWNFALL, I SWEAR.

Today is SPN Day, but I don't have anything to show for it yet. I'll probably do puffs tonight while waiting for the episode; it's preempted here because of the friggin SEC Tournament. We've known it was coming for a long while, but it still doesn't make it any easier. Hopefully the CW will air the episode around midnight tonight, but otherwise I have about 3 backup plans on the internet, none of which I've ever used before. SHOULD BE INTERESTING, WISH US LUCK. At the very least, we'll have omelets and mountain dew. Nom nom nom.

Here, have a badass mashup I've been listening to all morning:

Help!

So I have a ton (ok, two) of memes to get around to doing, but I've been studying for my Linguistics test all morning, and this video is absolutely one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

Ringo plays the umbrella, guys!

I'll be back to spam your flists more this afternoon. :D

I'm sleep deprived and it's a nasty, nasty day outside, so I thought I'd post a little something that made me laugh from Reddit.

"Spider-monk, spider-monk...
does whatever a spider-monk does...

Can he have

sex with girls?

No he can't,

He's a Monk

LOOK OOOUUUTTT!!!! He is a SPIDER MONK!!"

Monty Python starts their own Youtube Channel

This is why I love them. Now if I could only buy "And Now For Something Completely Different".

*puts on list of things to do*

I've been working too hard today, I needed that. :) It's cold outside; 20 degrees at most every morning, and I've only got one pair of pants to make it through the week. I'm going to be getting creative with tights, aren't I? I have a job interview on Friday, though, and I was hoping to not look... insane, so we'll see, I suppose.

Sabrina wants to see Twilight at the midnight showing Thursday; she's never read the books, just heard about the mind-numbing lulz from me, and she's seriously gung-ho. I don't think she understands the massive hysteria of the fangirls, though. I have that interview Friday, so I don't think it'll happen. Also, I value my life.

We'll probably go Friday night.

I'm going to need so much therapy afterward.

Aaaaaand your clip of the day. XD

I went to bed at 8:30PM last night cause I was so tired, and I woke up at 6AM this morning without an alarm. My schedule is completely screwed to hell... Ah well, I'm writing my paper tonight, studying for my test tomorrow morning/afternoon (cramming is fun, kids! ;D), and finishing the paper tomorrow night amidst Ned and pie and concentrated happiness.

Sometimes I wish Pushing Daisies was on after Supernatural... it's like a little hour of happy, and I think I need that after all the manpain. When stuff happens like [livejournal.com profile] tahu watching Heart of all things because she misses the boys' carefree days where they had no angst, well.... Wow.

Kripke, seriously. What did they ever do to you? Kick your puppy? *pines for the brothers Winchester*

*goes back to eating popcorn and drinking orange juice and watching the Colbert Report, as one is often wont to do before normal operating hours of the day*
spazz: (ROCK!)

I only hope to someday be as awesome as he. *starts looking around for some duct tape and a kazoo*

In other news that actually pertains to my life, I totally didn't kill myself in art class. Not during woodshop orientation, and not during class yesterday when I was the first one to have to use the handheld jigsaw and I broke the blade and everyone stared at me and it was so awkward but I'M NOT DEAD AND ALL MY PIECES ARE CUT OUT AND I NEED TO TAKE A PICTURE OF IT AND PUT IT ON THE INTERNETS CAUSE I'M SO PROUD!

\o/

In other, other news that pertains both to my lack of seriousness and ownership of a ukulele, what should I learn to play next? I've recently learned "You Shook Me All Night Long", and that's just ridiculously.... ridiculous-sounding on Eugene, and yeah. Suggestions, plz. All I ever learn on my own are sad, angsty songs (Read: Grapevine Fires and Astronaut), and those don't work on a ukulele. Trufax.

Omg I'm in such a good mood today. I think it's SPN. :)

Wow... I can't believe I move in on Sunday. And it's Thursday. And I haven't even packed.

I have, however, been running around with my former-roommate, Dayna, who got back in town a few days ago. We're making plans to go see Hamlet 2, and maybe go to the special hell (I hear it's nice there this time of year?), as well as making ridiculously long trips to Walmart. Honestly. Either buy a skillet, or don't; we need to keep the train a-movin', and can't afford to stay in one aisle for more than 20 minutes OMG.

Ok, I think I'm done.

In other news, I dyed my hair, and am almost finished with Mass Effect. I love the former (It's red! Bright, semi-natural-looking red! HOORAH!), but I've begun to begrudge the latter. I don't know... It's not grabbing me the same way KotOR and Jade Empire did, and I think that's because it's so open. I literally don't know what to do with myself. I think part of the problem is that I don't have enough time to sink 30 hours in, so I feel like I'm rushing through it just so I can start to draw and read fanfic. At least I'm getting better at this FPS-style combat. GO ME. \o/

I also still have a ridiculous amount of art to upload--that stuff from Mexico, and a whole lot of Mass Effect sketchings. I should probably get that taken care of tonight. AghGHHGHGHG I'M SO SCATTERED. O.O

In conclusion, a few links for your perusal. I'm bored, at work, with only Reddit to entertain me. You've been warned.

Michael Phelps Returns to His Tank At Sea World. Sometimes I love The Onion.

The Smart Car Batmobile. It has fins! :D (WAAAAAAANT)

Aaaaand a Ghostfacers interview from Comic-Con, because [livejournal.com profile] tahu needs to see this. :)

Over the past few days I've been watching The Soup on youtube. Don't ask why (it has something to do with Fandom Wank and David Caruso, and I can't remember anything past that).

Anyways, I'm sure everyone and their dog has seen this clip, but I cannot stop laughing. And it's been three days.

So, here ya go:

For further hilarity, check out SuperHills Me. <3

In closing, a meme.

Here are the top 100 songs of the year 2007 (when I graduated high school, whoot-whoo!). Strikethrough the songs you don't like, bold the ones you do, italicize the ones you've never heard. (Stolen from various f-listers)

Proof I was born in the wrong decade. No, really )

I'm still not back 100%, but I wanted to pop on in with an art rec because I have these bucketloads of squee I must share with someone. :)

As some of you might know, my first fandom was for the Xbox game "Knights of the Old Republic". Now, we had some seriously talented fanartists, but my favorite was probably Aimo. She always had fantastic comics, and her marker skills are the subject of my constant envy. Anyways, I still watch her on Deviantart, and she was recently commissioned to do a picture for Supernatural.

It's just as fantastic as everything else she's ever done, and I thought some of you might appreciate it. :) So, yeah. Go have a look!
